i cant adjust it to go into park and also 1st, its one or the other, like the shifter cable needs a bigger range for 4 fwd gears, someone please help, i need to get this fixed :confused: - thanks, derek

Check your directions....there's a pin you need to remove so you can use the shifter for 4 foward gears (2004r or 700r4) and not the typical 3 speed auto.

It sounds like you have the cable hooked up to the wrong hole on the tranny lever. Is there another hole further from the pivot? I have the TCI and Megashifter and it works fine. If you disconnect the cable and still can't get into first, then you forgot to remove the pin.

I have a Megashifter on my 700R4; TOMS69 is right, there is a small pin that has to be removed. If I remember correctly, I think it's an allen head screw with a nylon lock nut on it. It's been a while since I removed it.

thanks for the replies, i took the cover off the shifter today and the thing goes down all the way on the shifter, but the trans isnt going into 1st, the pin was already out, i started it up and went through the gears and the reverse gear is taking up two notches :confused: is there anyway i could get a bigger range out of that cable, could the reverse taking up two notches be something within the trans? ive never had that happen, but i dont know of anything else thats going on. thanks for any help - derek
