ok i just got my 383 stroker motor in and its not firing on some of the cylinders all the time. i put the timing light on every cyl to see what some were doing and it is 2 and 6 clyd that are not firing all the time. what could be causing this? im using a msd box hei, after market coil, setup vacuum is locked out. any suggestions ?

ok i changed plugs and wires on 2 and 6 still samw thing i think its in the distributor what am i looking for in side?

Have you checked the inside of the distributer cap?

Try changing the cap and rotor.

I'm guessing the distributor is off 1 tooth & is misfiring those 2 cylinders.

Have you checked those two plugs? If they have cracked insulators or damaged side electrodes, there's no path to ground and there will be no current in the wires to trigger the light. graemlins/beers.gif
