: Re-Upholstered Corbeau Buckets and Modified Rear Bench

I got tired of looking at the supposed "black" material on my Corbeau's this past car show season. With the right lighting, they appeared more red than black. It would appear like they were sun-faded, but they were that way from day one. Also, while I was at it, decided to have my home-made rear bench covered to look more professional. First batch of photos are earlier this month, and the new versions are next....

Much better! They look real nice. Who did it? Pricey? With that homemade back seat, I can see a lil' bit of tubbin in the rear! lol

Looks real nice, they did a great job. What material is that vinyl or leather?

thanks for the compliments guys.. I was very happy with how they turned out. I initially went in for a quote on doing the fronts, and on a whim decided to throw the rear into the job,,, I'm glad I did.

I had a local shop near here in Iowa do it. Turns out I work with the woman's brother at John Deere. I was asking some co-workers about shops, and found out that a friends sister does it for a living... I had no idea. The total job was $1215, with the cost split in thirds almost exactly, roughly $400 for each front, and $400 for the rear (top and bottom combined). I had quotes from $950 to $1600 from all the shops I visited. Yes, there's a little tubbin' going on

The material was a real soft, pliable vinyl. I was told that this was very close to the look and feel of real leather, and from what I looked at in person, I agreed. The main material was a standard stock item they use a lot of, and the textured inserts was a VW (?, if I remember correctly) material that was used as an OEM seat material a few years ago. The main things I was after was a nice dark black with a grain pattern that matched the original Camaro door panels, dash pad, etc... It's very close.

Those seats look great in your car and don't seem to sit as high as the Procar Rally's I have for mine.

Just curious, what color blue is that? Seems similar, though a slightly lighter shade, to the color I am going with. I didn't see the color listed on your webpage.
