Last thing to do on 68 conv.choice of color my interior is ivy gold,with fold down seat,car is black very nice,should i go with ivy or black,thinking about just buying both,just waiting for nice weather been 2 yrs at this thing now ready to enjoy.68 ss ,12 bolt,tilt,factory gauges,tac,fold down seat,cloth top,hotchkis allway around,nice thing all gm no aftermarket.i will load pics soon.

A lot of folks match the boot with the top color but I tend to like the look when the boot matches the interior...

I agree with Dennis. My car is Lemans blue with white top and the stock boot was blue as was the interior. I'm changing to white interior and will be going to a white boot to further offset the blue. I assume your top is black so I'd go with ivy gold on your boot to match the interior.

I think I still have an unused black boot in the garage. PM me if you want it, just pay the shipping and it's yours. That way if you don't like the look you are in cheap. My only request is if you don't want it, then offer the same deal to anyone else on the board............................

Got the same interior colour as you..with a black boot...looks O.K. Top's black as well.

The only issue with an Ivy Gold boot may be the color match to the interior. If your interior is original, a new boot will most likely not match. I haven't found anyone who has a good match for the original fatory Ivy Gold.

Hey GW...tried to send you an email after getting yours..but my cache was too full...have emptied some now.

Just indicated that I've seen them colour code matched..but still like the black boot with the black top...and with the body colour that you have. Mine is BN body colour.

I hear ya Bill but it's amazing how many black top/black boot convertibles there are out there no matter what interior color the car has...

Match to the interior. My butternut yellow car originally had a white top and black interior and came with a black boot. It would have looked really weird with a white boot.

That being said, I can see how a black boot would work with your particular color combo.

to be honest, since I painted the car this past summer I have not attempted to put the boot on all the way. dont want to mess up the paint with a slip of the clip
