Just got my Canfields in the mail today....
It was like Christmas (two days early)
I have some last minute questions that I was hoping you guys could give some quick answers to.
What head gaskets that are .039" thick should I use?
What intake gaskets should I use to mate the Canfield 200's to an edelbrock rpm?
What gasket kit should I use?
What assembly lube should I get?
1.6 or 1.5 roller rockers?
(the reason I ask is that I have .650" springs and I only have .543" of lift with a 1.5, I was wondering if I needed to get some more lift to throw at these springs. The car will be a lightweight street strip car with no concern about mileage, etc.)

.040 over 400"
CNC Canfield 200's (195)
edelbrock rpm
10.2:1 compression
278/288 239/249 .050, .517/.543, 108 LSA solid lunati

-Head gaskets, Felpro
-Intake gasket should be a 1205 felpro
-As far as the rest of the gaskets go, just get a good felpro 1404 or 05 or what ever matches your header, and go buy el cheapos from your autozone for the rest of the motor!!
-Assembly lube: Bar none call up jegs and have them send you a 1 lb tub of grey Crane moly, and youll have enough for 10 cams if you want, they dont list it but they have it and its a good investment, plus you can use it to lube just about anything automotive or non automotive!!
-1.5 or 1.6 rockers is your call, i guess if your going to buy them new why not 1.6 if your heads will flow well to around .600 lift, or you could get a split set and play with that...
-question are the springs for a solid roller? .650 max seems like alot of spring for a solid flat tappet cam. You best check into that or you could have a cam with no lobes when you go to fire it!!
-You from reinbeck iowa??

any other opinions?
I think Novaguy is right on the money, I have heard others mention those felpro sizes..
Thanks everyone!
Merry Christmas!

I agree with Nick. Just make sure you remove the inner springs if you are breaking in a flat tappet cam. Might want to call Comp or whoever just to make sure.

Would my engine live after the initial break in?
how much spring pressure is too much?
also, would increasing the rocker ratio help the situation?

Increasing the rocker ratio puts more pressure on the cam lobe.

oh snap!
I have one final question..
What range of pushrod length checker should i get?
5.8-6.8, 6.8-7.8, 7.8-8.8
It's my first engine, so that will answer the "is this guy stupid?" question you are probably all thinking
Thanks
