Hi,

I am re-installing the missing windshield washer bottle on my 67 RS/SS. A friend of mine has an original RS that has it mounted on the driver's side core support. However, the Z22 section in the 67 AIM shows it mounted up in the driver's side inner fenderwell. Do any of the gurus want to weigh in on this? My instinct is to follow the lead of my friend's original RS car and install it on the core support, since there are already holes drilled there for it.

Was the AIM simply inaccurate for this, or did they make a running change at some point during the model year?

Mine is on the core support.

Std install is mounted on drivers side core support kind of under the fender. I don't think the RS option required it to be moved to the pass side like it did in '68 &'69...

I looked in the '67 AIM and never found anything addressing the washer bottle under Z22. UPC1 Sheet A1 is misleading, look at UPC1 Sheet A4 to see it mounted to the core support.

That's a 68 and 69 thing only. 68 RS - Drivers side fenderwell. 69 RS - Passengers side fenderwell. 67 - Core support. You must have been looking at the 68 AIM.

bertfam, I am positive I was looking at a 67 AIM, unless someone mixed in a page from the 68 AIM. I'll take another look at it tonight to make sure I'm not hallucinating. Lack of sleep from too much late night thrashing to get the car ready. :boring:

You got it, core support for 67RS, it is an electrical unit so there is no Vacuum Canister there in the way.
