: Headers for '67 RS

From my previous topic (theoretical of 370 equals 270 on the road) it appears one of my resolves is to install a set of headers as I have stock cast iron ones now. What header ( without any mods, denting, reconfiguring) will fit my '67 RS? I would like to limit the cost to around $500. Thanks in advance.....

Know this may be an old subject to many but I would like input on the Hooker super comps ceramic coated units.

I am running the Hooker Super Comps on my '67, which I sent to Jet Hot for coating, and I ran into no major issues with them. The drivers side header was a little tight in getting it in, so I had to pivot the motor out of the way before installing them. The passenger side fit great and you can install it by jacking up the car and installing from underneath. If you are running a stock type starter with a 168 tooth flywheel you may have some issues with the starter clearing the headers. I chose to run a CVR starter which was adjustable to solve that problem. You can check out their site here:

I am more than pleased with the headers I chose, and you shouldn't run into any major obstacles with them.

Good luck.

Thanks for the responses. My only concern was the driver side installation as I didn't want to have to dent the header to fit around the steering housing.

I like the Hooker Super Comps. A buddy has a small block with the 1.75" Hedman Hustlers (coated) that cleared without denting on his 69. They're a little cheaper than the Hookers if price is an issue. The Hustlers are their equivalent to the Super Comps, not their standard header.
