How can I identify a Z/28 alternator. It is in the same situation as the carb refered to in an earlier post.
Thanks for any and all help.

P.S. I already know that the Zs had bigger pulleys for high RPMs(my g-pa fried my dad's alt on his Mu&^@ng, so i know the importance of the bigger pully http://www.camaros.net/forum/rolleyes.gif .

Stamped part no. will be 1100837 followed by 37A, then a date code. This is a 37 amp unit. Also used on 396/375, COP0 iron 427, ZL-1 and 1970 cars as well including the LS-6 Chevelle.
