I'm looking to get some info about putting a BBC 454 into a 71 Nova. The motors all ready to go in once the 350 comes out. The correct frame mounts are ordered along with the correct heater core. The question is will my Wieand Team G intake fit under my stock hood, if not what will. I was thinking of An Edelbrock rpm or rpm airgap, Torker II or a Weiand x-celerator. The sub-frame connectors have also been ordered.

Thanks Dean

The Air-Gap will fit but you'll need a drop base air cleaner and maybe a short element like this:

I went to a cowl hood so this is no longer an issue. I dont know how tall the Wieand is but you should be able to measure it (seeing as you already have it) and compare to the Air-Gap. You can get all the Air-Gap dimensions off of Edelbrocks website.

Check here http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/man_bbchev.html

and here: http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/man_selec.html

BTW, if you run power brakes be aware you need to use stock low profile valve covers with a stock 10" power booster.
