Hotchkis had a great time and a big win at the 5th Gen Camaro Fest
Rob Byrd driving his Hotchkis, Nitto and BBS equipped 2010 Camaro destroyed the competition and won the modified class at the Camaro Fest Autocross. This event held at Firebird Motorsports Complex (AZ) April 15-16 featured hundreds of new Camaros modified with a large variety of aftermarket suspension, engine and wheel/tire combinations. Initially Rob and Trish bought their special order 2010 Camaro to attend shows and never dreamed about driving in competition. That all changed after attending the Hotchkis Track Day in 2010. Now the enthusiastic couple seeks out autocross and track events whenever possible. They still keep their Camaro in immaculate condition and attend the occasional static car show.

The Hotchkis F-11 Camaro was the surprise in Super Modified field
The Hotchkis Sport Suspension project F-11 Camaro surprised many by qualifying third in the “Top 5 Super Modified shootout”. This unlimited class was comprised of 2010-’11 Camaros built for Track day and autocross events. The F-11 Camaro was placed in the class due to its supercharger. The Hankook race spec drift Camaro qualified just ahead of the Hotchkis car. The pressure was on because the five finalists had just one lap to determine the winner. Aaron Ogawa, Hotchkis Chief Engineer was pushing hard, going for the win and just nailed some cones in the final corner to finish 5th. The Hotchkis team is proud of their street spec Camaro being competitive with the race spec versions. This proves that a well developed street car using the finest from the performance aftermarket has huge track potential.

We even went Drag Racing
Drew Oliver, Hotchkis Sales, wheeled our Magnuson Supercharged F-11 Camaro down the strip Friday night. With help from Will and Team Centerforce, we think he's now a drag racer! 12.8 @ 111mph for Project F-11.
