Looking at purchasing a set of Doug Thorley for my '67 RS. Summit has them for $339. Has anyone had a problem with color change on the nickel chrome plate?

they will blue. I sand blasted them and sprayed them with high temp ceramic paint. That was over a 1 1/2yrs ago. still lookin good.

My buddy Cris (CJ here) has chrome and they have blued a bit but I didn't think they look too bad. I think the real problems arise when you have tuning problems that heat a tube or 3 hotter than they should be...

you can get them ceramic coated also, that is on the tri-y's anyway. Right at 500 big ones!
