The fourth gen seats look and feel much better with better support in the seatback area. Mat Klemp Dec 29th, 00, 02:49 PM 2nd gen seats are a close bolt in by re-drilling mounting holes in the support rails. 4th gen will need special adaptors made. I hear 3rd and 4th gen seats are close for mounting? TTFN Mat davidpozzi Dec 29th, 00, 03:17 PM I don't know about bolting in. I've ordered a pair of Corbeau seats that will bolt in and they are around $350 each. http://www.upgrademotoring.com/index2.htm They are the A-4 model. ------------------ Check my web page for First Gen Camaro suspension info: David's Motorsports page (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/David_Pozzi/) First Gen Suspension Page (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/David_Pozzi/first_gen_suspension.htm) 67 RS 327 69 Camaro Vintage Racer 65 Lola T-70 Can Am Vintage Racer pdq67 Dec 29th, 00, 07:23 PM This might sound stupid, but if I remember right, my stock '67's seats (and seating position) was the best that I ever sat in. And, I got a tilt wheel, too. Of course, it's been years ago, and I'm bigger and FATTER now than I was when I was younger. I haven't driven my car since '86 and '73 before that, but when I last got behind the wheel it was just as though the sucker was moulded to me. IMHO pdq67 davidpozzi Dec 29th, 00, 08:29 PM I found my 67's to be pretty good but no lumbar support for my 50 year old back. When I was autocrossing the car I had to cinch the lap belt down hard to keep me from falling out of the seat! The vinyl is slippery too, although I had a couple of tears in the upolstery that helped hold me in! I finally put a cheap taylor plastic bucket in it for autocross and it was good but not safe as it's all plastic, and won't adjust or tilt forward. I used the GTB seats and am very happy with them. Expensive though at around $1100 for the pair with mounting brackets. www.corbeau.com (http://www.corbeau.com) ------------------ Cars: 68 RS/SS BB ragtop (http://home.swbell.net/paxtonr/camaro.htm) 63 Nova II ragtop (http://home.swbell.net/paxtonr/nova.htm) Club: Camaro Club of Kansas City (http://camaroclubkc.homeip.net) [This message has been edited by rs1968ss (edited 12-30-2000).] |
