: My recent T-56 order.
K and K May 8th, 11, 08:01 PM I just recieved a T-56 Perfect fit kit from Keisler. I have to call them once again on monday to ask for another couple pieces I found missing. It seems they might be having some lack of internal communication right now. My initial order through Shafi was great, but after that it went down hill in the service. I am not going to vendor bash but I will say for the benefit of the rest of you all, that if you are currently in the market for this style of trans, I would, based on my personal expirience with this order, have to recommend you buy from someone other than who I went through. That is based entirely on their customer service and not based on their product. That so far appears good. If the order was messed up once, that would be one thing, but multiple screw ups? Im not going to bash, but if anyone wants any info on my experience so they might avoid future pains please pm me.
ROBS6T8 May 8th, 11, 08:22 PM I wonder if it has anything to do with the new RS transmissions they're putting out now. That seems to be "their" baby now. That's the route I'll be going once a few more get installed and I can here some real world feed back on them. Heard nothing but good so far.
K and K May 8th, 11, 08:45 PM I agree Rob, that does look like a good trans and their product seems great. If you order that one, I hope they pay better attention to the order than they did on my T-56 order. They probably will as that is their new "baby" as you couldn't have said that better.
K and K May 9th, 11, 12:43 PM I just spoke with a nice guy there named Ben, he was understanding and sounds like he will personally take care of the latest missing items. When I let him know about the first missing item someone else ended up taking care of it and so what Ben told me on the phone didnt happen. They have good products, and I hope my order mess ups dont happen to you guys because they seem like good guys.
Steiner May 9th, 11, 07:27 PM Sounds like they've got some new people. They hired several that got laid off when the Tremec USA parts plant got closed down. Guess they should've given them a test to see if they could read a parts list.....
I was going to say that my TKO order went fine but now that I remember (and looked through my email), only the TKO kit came and none of the extra parts I ordered although they were on a second page and showed as shipped. It wasn't a big deal as I just emailed Jeff and had them pretty quickly, plus the trans wasn't going in for several months.
I still recommend them based on my experience but man, they need to round everyone up and crack the whip (or some heads) based on recent feedback. Hire a couple kids at ten bucks an hour to be administrative assistants just to keep track of every order and keep customers up to date. Then you've just got two people in the office bugging the **** out of everyone else instead of a hundred customers doing it.

Waiting to see if the vendor replies to these comments on their 'Sponsor site'
K and K May 11th, 11, 08:33 AM Maybe Keisler is staying away from the forums. Companies go on forums when they are getting ready to release a product, it would be nice to know that they still listen to the customer afterwards as well.
DjD May 11th, 11, 08:38 AM I moved this to the Keisler forum, maybe you'll get their attention here.
K and K May 11th, 11, 11:20 AM Thank you Dennis, but I posted this also so that members here might know what has happened to other members when looking to place an order.

This forum is open to all and shows up in the list under todays posts or new posts so it's just as visibal as where you posted it. By being here in the vendors forum it won't get mistaken as vendor bashing as well.

Keisler May 13th, 11, 11:00 AM Hi All;
I am sorry to hear there were problems with K&K's T56 order. Please let me know what these were by PM or email. I will look into this ASAP.
Here is an update about our efforts on the RS:
First off, I want to THANK YOU for being decent about the delays we are experiencing. In this world of electronic forums, we don't always see that.
Here are some updates:
1. RS Production - We are building and shipping product, and have been for several weeks now. The production run rate is not at full speed yet. We've had some hurtles related to not getting the machined castings in fast enough, but that is improving daily as they are running 7 days/week. RS400 & RS500 are shipping.
2. RS600 Gearset - In Feb 2010 last year we ordered 200 gearsets from a supplier in Novi Michigan. We received some shipments before the supplier went out of business/sold in early Jan 2011. The job transferred to a new supplier, who made delivery promises they couldn't keep which is why the RS600 is several months behind. So, in Feb 2011 we ordered 300 gearsets from another supplier. Both suppliers are within approx three weeks of shipping, which will allow us to begin shipping quantities of RS600.
We ship orders in priority they were received. Ms. Dodie Ernst handles the RS Shipping, and she can be reached at assistant@keislerauto.com (assistant@keislerauto.com) or by phone 888-609-0070 x221. Dodie has the latest and greatest information on shipping.
We are working hard every day to keep the product rolling out the door. We take pride in offering what you will find to be the best manual transmission solution in the market for your muscle car. And, the RS is built here in Tennessee by people that care about the aftermarket enthusiasts like you!

Steiner May 13th, 11, 05:45 PM That would be great newsletter material.
Contrary to some beliefs, people are usually understanding when told there will be delays. It's when there are delays and they're not told anything that all the forums blow up.
It took me almost six weeks to get a set of shocks (found a great price) from a place I had never heard of much less ever ordered from. Right after I ordered them, they emailed and said "We've got the fronts but the rears are on global backorder. Do you want us to go ahead and send the fronts and wait on the rears or do you want to just cancel the rears?" I told them no big deal, I'd just wait until they had all four. When the rears finally came in, they emailed just to make sure I still wanted them. AND they never charged my credit card for anything until the full order shipped. That's the way you handle things and it only takes a minute to prevent a pissed off customer from laying waste throughout internet land.
Still happy with my Keisler TKO by the way.
