I am having a problem with my headlight doors. They open and close perfectly, no trouble there. The problem is that when I shut the car off, the doors come open slightly...any ideas what would be causing this?

It's been a while but I thing you have a slight vacuum leak. I think the doors open when vacuum is removed. This makes it possible to manually over ride the system and have the doors open all the time by throwing the plunger under the hood.

Do you have the overcenter spring on the lower bellcrank installed correctly. It should have some tension on it when the doors are closed. If it's loose then the doors will drift open when the vacuum is lost. Bend your attaching brackets slightly to get the springs tighter.
