I have a glass guy coming to put in a windshield. I knowI have to get my wide pillar chrome installed first. How about the header chrome? Can that go in after? I hope so or I'm going to have to call him off.

I would really suggest doing the header trim first. There are two reasons, 1. after the header trim is in you need to install the trim clips for the windshield molding. Getting to these with glass in can be tough. 2. I had to play with my header trim installing/removing several times to get it right and to have the right amount of dum-dum putty under it. If I'd had the glass in I surely would have cracked it.

Thanks I rescheduled the glass. Did you use a reproduction header molding? Looks good in your pics. I have been putting it off hoping they come out with something better.

There is no reason why the header moldings can't be installed after the glass is in. Like Russ said, just make sure that the windshield molding clips are in place before the glass goes in. For a "correct" windshield installation using the proper type of dam around the windshiled perimiter, give Jeff at First Class Auto Glass a call (forgot where in PA he's located, but I think he does house calls).

My header moldings are repro's by OER but it took me getting 3 sets to find ones that fit decently. The problem area for me was the corners where they angle down the A-pillar's. There are several threads covering the poor fit of the repro's. My OE's had too many rust holes to make look right or I would have had them chromed. If yours are in good enough shape have them repaired vs. replacing.
