Ok, I am trying to get the horn to work on my 69 camaro. I have a new relay and new horn hardware in the steering wheel. Does the relay throw 12v to the horn when the contact spring shorts out? Cause that seems like that is the only way the relay works.

Could someone please shed some light on this?
Oh...one more thing. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif I have a 71 Super Sport steering wheel and column. Nothing big, correct? I believe the setup is the same through those years. Thanks...

When you depress your horn button you are picking up the negitive side of the horn relay. So your relay is wired as follows, the positive side of relay coil to hot positive source ( unswitched ) negitive side of coil to the steering column ( horn button ). Relay side of horn relay, postive in ( for horn ) to ralay, positive out to horn its self. Horn will pick up its negitive source through the car frame when mounted.
