I have a 1994 Z 28, and today i filled it up w/ gas. Everything seemed fine, but when i got home, there was gas leaking out of it. However, the place that it was leaking from was at the top of the cap. It seems like it is coming right from the cap that you twist to seal the tank. It doesn't really gush out, but you can smell it, and you can notice it. It only comes out of the cap when I drive around for a little bit in it. Do you think that something could have been put inside my gas tank, or is it just too full? I have had it at the same full spot before, but it has never leaked at all. Could it possibly be a bad cap? Or is there something I can put in there right now to stop the leaking? Thanks

Well theres two things you can do. i dont know if you live where you have emissions testing but they can check your gas cap or go to a autoparts store and buy a new gas cap. I dont think its anything besides that. Go to Pep Boys they got gas caps for all cars at about 8 bucks. Trust me i work there. Good luck

You may have a problem with the evap/purge system. Check all the components in the system and make sure everything is hooked up i.e. solenoids, valves, vacuum lines and electrical connections. If the system isn't purging, it can cause excessive pressure to build up in the fuel tank.
