I just put in a set of new S/R torkers on my 327. It started right up and smoked for a good 15 min.
Now it seems to burning a bunch of oil on deseration. Are my rings gone?

It all depends on how many miles your motor has on it and what kind of miles those are. Check the plugs. A compression check would be a good idea.
A high milage motor will likely see low (~140 ish on stock compression), but even compression between cylinders. New heads or reworked heads on a high milage motor will lead to oil burning as oil leaks past the rings. Don't know if this is your case or not.
Another possibility is that the intake manifold isn't sealed properly to the head and sucks oil up from the galley.

I did a comp check before I put the new heads on. I had 150 around. I thought because of the strong compression, my rings were good. Now I'm confused. What would you start with?

Intake manifold gasket is leaking oil into the intake ports. :(

What should I look for when I pull my intake? I hear bad rings only smoke when accelerating. Is that the case?
