My blue pump started making heavy clicking sounds - then quiet - tried it again worked 2 secs. then heavy clicking sound like a mechanical clack clack - then quiet
if you own one of these pumps, when they are quiet and switched on, you know its shot - and so I haven't tried it again:

I saw a host of Holley repair kits on web - even a new complete lower housing

Before I remove it, what do you think is the problem? and should I repair it or junk it?

I am using my old trust mechanical pump for now, and I have a new found respect for these simple QUIET!!! things.

You could pull the lower cover and see if anything is stuck in the impeller or vanes.

If you pull the top off to check for worn brushes, the brushes will pop out of the holders, and they are next to impossible to get back in!
Did you know if you reverse the top pump cover the pump will run backwards? It won't pump fuel but will sound fine!
I like the mechanical pumps, especially the carter mech pump.
