First top i have put on,
Have as question about the rear bow tack strip. I bought the tack strip rear bow material and it is alot smaller than the one i removed. The size of the tack strip is 1/2 x 5/16. Am i missing something?

Am i missing something? How was your original fastened in ? I can't remember for sure, but I think the rear is stapled in through the first layer of the rear bow from the factory , not a snug fit like some of the other bows. Look for holes in the bow from the staples. You can rivet the new one in if this is the case.

Have you finished this project yet? How long did it take you? Are happy with the results?
The reason I'm asking is, I'm seriously thinking about putting a new top on my Camaro myself. I think it would save me around $500.00 or so. I don't know how much experience you have with this, but, good luck. ;)

Thanks for the help.
The original material was like a hard plastic that i had to pry out of the channel. I did not trust it, as it was all cracked up. Just trying to get ideas or something i could use to fill the 5/8 x 5/8 channel, that i can staple into, so it is flush to the top of the bow.

You might have just thought the staples were just from the top material but the staples holding the tack strip would have been much bigger. If you still have some of the original tack strip, check it to see.
