I have a problem with my check engine light. I have a stock 1985 Camaro with 4-speed auto. The problem is when the car is driven over 65 MPH the check engine light will come on and off periodically (every few minutes). If I slow down under 50 MPH the light goes off. Also, if I never go over 60 MPH the light will never come on. I've check vaccuum hoses, oil, water, etc...all good. Any ideas?

Get it checked for trouble codes, maybe a bad 02 sensor?
You may not get a lot of help on it here as this is mostly a first gen forum.

Sounds like the classic symptoms of a code 32.This code says the EGR valve is not functioning properly.Jump the ALDL, pin A to B (usually the 2 top terminals on passenger side of connector)turn the key on,engine off.The service engine light will flash a code 12, 3 times(1 long flash,2 short flashes. The trouble codes will follow.count the flashes, code 32 will be 3 long flashes, and 2 short flashes.
