Why is it that some categories have page after page of old posts such as "bug hunt" which hasn't had a new post since May while others such as "what's it worth" dump everything that was posted before yesterday into the archives ? That is one of the most popular categories and when I clicked on it today to re-read a thread that is less than a week old it was gone and there was only ONE thread listed from yesterday.

Change the Display Options when you first enter one of the sections. At the bottom, left.
Also, in your profile settings, it's supposed to be a global change across all the forums, but it doesn't seem to work properly.
Just go through each forum sections main page and change the Display Options to something longer.

Thanks Joe. I found the settings on the bottom left of each section but everytime I go back after shutting down my computer I have to reset it again. Just thought it was kinda odd it's only like that on certain categories. No big deal.

Try clearing the cookie by logging out, then shut the browser down, and log back in. I have the same issue... among others.
I'll bring it up in the back room.

Changing it on the bottom of the forum page you are viewing is a 1 time temporary thing you have to go into your user CP and set the default to what you want it to be.

Where within the profile setting is this?

Jim - go to <User CP> (one of the red bars across the top of the page)

Then look under "Settings & Options" in the "Thread Display Options" area.

Can you send me a PM with a screen shot of before and after you go in and do the clear and reset the computer? That way it can help give a better understanding of the issue. It seems like currently you are the only one with this issue.
