Hopefully someone can help,Ihave a 89 iroc 305 tpi f motor. One day I was driving home and when I came to stop sign it died.It started running extremly rich. I got it home and let it set for a couple of days. After a couple of days I started it up and it ran fine.I drove it down the road, it started to do the same thing.I changed the temp sensor and it stills does the same thing. It now gives me a code 45.The car only has 8400 miles on it.It sat for a long time.If someone can help I wound be grateful.

Code 45 is rich 02.Jump the aldl, like you would do to get codes. Watch the ses light with car running, the light should blink. The less the light is on, the leaner the 02 is.The more the light is on the richer it is.It really should be on as much as it is off. This is only accurate if the 02 is hot.Rich 02 can be caused by,high fuel pressure, ign.misfire, bad MAF,TPS,or even a charcoal canister thats flooded(just disconnect it and see). good luck!
