I need to know the amount of vaccum it takes to operate the headlights on a 69 camaro. Is there a manual with a detail discription of how the headlight system operates. (vaccum for headlights)

Don't know the level of necessary vacuum, but many of the First gen Camaro parts catalogs sell the factory manuals and diagrams for the complete hideaway light system. Try the following:
