Hello I new to the group,But a long time reader great stuff!! Well the promble I'm having is a high RPM shifts @ light acceleration at 15-20 MPH it won't shift intill 2800 @ 3000 RPM if i let off then it well shift fine? Its all computer controled, But there are no codes. The trans is a 700R4 With elec.controlled shifts no vaccum hose.It was rebuilt last summer and a new elec. ****f pack installed. The only thing I can think of is the O2 sen. because I blew a headgaskte 2 weeks before. I let it cool off then filled it up and drove it back home (about 10-15 miles) it ran like crap and puffed a LOT of white smoke. I had it fixed and now I'm having this promble. I took it back they scaned it and no codes. They told me to take it to a transmission shop. But I would hate to do that if its just the O2 sen. and it seems to use more gas? I don't know if it's because of the high shifts or what? Please help!! PS: It's a 95 with a 350TPI with a 700R4 trans. Thank you!

Sounds like the tranny might be slipping. Have you check the fluid level? Has the tranny ever been serviced? Could be just a dirty tranny filter.

Just to let you guys know. It was the TPS switch. But there where no codes? I thought I would start with the cheeper one first. It cost me $22.00 and it runs better and shifts just were it should. And the gas mileage has improved too. But thanks for getting back to me! P.S.the O2 sen. was $65.00? WOW!
