I was looking at the front rims on my car now that I finally got tires one them. It looks like there is room there possibly for some bigger brakes. The off set is 1.75" and looks like there is room for bigger rotors and brakes. As long as the off set of the rotor is the same. Anyone running bigger brakes with their 15x4 skinny rims/tires ???

Not sure what you are calling "bigger". Really not going to be a huge help cause the tire will be your limiting factor on stopping power. Meaning that the skinny tires aren't going to hold the stopping power of huge brakes, and will be more prone to lock up.

By bigger I meant something like a C5/C6 setup. But your point in the skinny tire patch is well taken. Thanks for bringing that up. Guess I'll stick with my stock single piston calipers or maybe some of Wilwood's direct replacement models.

I am running the Baer front disc with the skinny tire on front.

I run Wilwoods on the front. I'm not saying you can't use decent breaks it just doesn't make sense to have 6 piston calipers and over sized rotors with skinnies. At some point the brakes are too much for the tire to hold.

When the OP said "over sized", by todays standard that can be pretty large and a lot of braking power.

Mine are the 4 piston calipers like your wilwood brakes. They are the direct replacements for a 15" wheel.

I have 15"x5" front wheels with M/T 7.50 wide tires,SSBC non power 2 piston calipers and have decent stopping capability. I still have to change the distribution block from drum/drum to disc/drum....which I will do when replacing the old front brake lines with new ones that I recently purchased....just haven't found the time to do it!!!!!!!
