I have a '96 Camaro SS the sevice engine son light is on and when the car is in idle the temp. goes up very fast but once i start driving it geos down to normal. I dont know if the service light has something to do
with it. We have a Code Scanner but it is very complicated to use and I dont know how to use it.

And also after a race down the 1/4 mile track the transmission will not go in to first gear or reverse, can go in to secound with a lot of help, not as much as first though (it will a lot of force), and the temp. is normal.

Thanks
Kyle

I forgot to say it is a 6 speed manual, with the SPL proformance, it has a centerforce clutch too.

Kyle - Not trying to chase you off but surf on over to www.slpeng.com (http://www.slpeng.com) and get into the forums there. I have a '96 SS also and have fount the folks over there very in tune with these cars... Try to refrain from 1/4 mile runs until you get these problems resolved, it could complicate things...
