I have been reading build threads lately and was intrigued so I thought I would try to piece my progress so far.
This started about 8 years ago...this is how I got her

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/quickboat/IMG_2672.jpg
She has an SS hood, spoilers and 14 inch wheels!

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/quickboat/IMG_2495.jpg

Next couple of weeks I will try to complete my progress so far. I figured this would be a way to sort through the mountain of paper work and receipts that I have. Not everything is documented by pictures but most is. Hope you enjoy my journey.

This car over heated, wouldn’t start half the time, transmission slipped, AC/heat didn't work, not brake lights or turn signals, handled bad, wouldn’t stop and couldn’t even break the 14 inch tires loose it you tromped it, but the price was right. So I made her a member of the family!

....the interior was the highlight. It was mostly redone in the original deluxe style.

Once I got into this car a bit, I had to start making her road worthy so that I could drive her.
The over heating was bad since no shroud was present. Twin Spaul fans fixed that one.

The suspension was shot so I had to put springs all around. The rear leafs were both broken at the front eyes. The drivers side front spring had a rocker arm jammed in it to keep the sagging coil level with the other sagging coil.
Eibach front 2"inch droppers for the front and multi leafs in the rear. A 1" front sway bar rounded out the suspension.

Well after those fixes it handled MUCH better and sat flat now....

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/quickboat/IMG_2730.jpg

But it was missing something.......

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/quickboat/IMG_3622.jpg

Thats right 15x8 rally's with "MEATIER" rubber! Plus a full Turbo 350 tranny rebuild with hardened spragg, blue plate clutches and 2800 stall torque converter.

Cant forget (at this point) the new mirrors, steering column turn signal fix and a bunch more minor things.

While all that make a big difference, I was not happy with the "GO" or the "SLOW". So some more work was warranted...

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/quickboat/IMG_2558.jpg
Addressing the go was a set of World Products Torquer heads (ported
) and a nasty GM off road cam.
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/quickboat/MtrIntRckrs.jpg

Also had to address traction so an Eaton Posi was added...

The addition of DOT slicks, traction bars, Holley 750 dbl ppr and the 2800 stall converter got me into the 12's. 12.9's being my best..

I wanted more stopping power so I added rear discs....

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/quickboat/CamaroRear003.jpg

..then there were issues with the original sub frame and I wanted MORE POWER, so I started another redo starting with newly reconditioned sub frame with Gulstrand Mod and a complete motor redo including Dart heads, steel reciprocting assy, 6 inch rods, four bolt main mod, all new steering gear and front end linkage.

Jim,
Noticed your build looks like it has an original center console.
Do you know if the electrical wiring plug for the console is in the console or at the lower dash. The Asm. Manual (AIM) shows the 2nd version wiring but I can not find anyone that can verify the existence of a second version.
Your help would be appreciated.

A bit late, have not been here in a while, but the plug for the console Auto trans is (was) in the console
