H-dog POP D TOP Jul 21st, 00, 04:28 AM If they're rebuildable, that is not cracked and the valves aren't sunk...I'd by 'em! Also be sure they have any accessory mounting holes you might need for your application. Many of the older heads don't have them and mounting alternators and such gets to be a pain without them. KevinW Jul 21st, 00, 09:08 AM At the E-town NJ swap meet, I have seen the 186 heads, both old and new style go for between $150 and $300 for a bare rusty set. I bought a pair of 041 heads (similar casting) for $50 which had a hole, now junk. Good Luck trezpan Jul 21st, 00, 04:47 PM i hear you kevin.... i go to the englishtown swap meets every year. i realize you have to be careful at all swap meets but theres more b.s. at e-town then any other i've attended |
