trying to fix timing on my 350 but i have no timing marks someone told me i can adjust
timing using ported vacuum (where there's 0 vacuum at idle?)but i can't find anything
with 0 vacuum.edelbrock 750 carb left port has 8hg, right port has 10hg, manifold has
10hg(bounces between 9-11)i don't think the carb ports are supposed to have vacuum
at idle corect me if i'm wrong any help greatly appreciated thanx

the only correct is to use a piston stop used in degreeing a camshaft comp cams offers one and they also show how to find tdc with the heads on the engine, anyone thatcan supply you with info on cam degreeing cam supply you with paperwork showing how.your vaccum guage should show a steady reading if it bounces you might have valve problems (weak springs valve not seating) or try covering the carb with your hand while the engine is running if it speeds up or smooths out you may have a vaccum leak
