Try this:
Reset your internet explorer to default values and turn off any add on popup blockers you have installed with yahoo, bing, google toolbars.

Or my favorite, Opera. Un-install any toolbars that you might have installed, or that were installed inadvertently. They can create all kinds of havoc.
fatblock Dec 8th, 11, 01:19 PM Thanks fellas and gals.I will try all your suggestions.

I HATE toolbars. They just take up valuable real estate on the screen... and attract all kinds of crap.

In control panel, add remove programs, remove all versions of JAVA you have installed. then reboot. Browse to http://java.com and download the latest version and see if that clears your java class errors.

Sorry lost track of this thread.
Okay take a deep breath. Here is the plan. We are going to open the control panel and do a few things. First we are going to remove all Java versions so we can start with a clean slate. Then we are going to reset Internet Explorers settings back to default. Then we are going to make it the default browser again so Windows we re-establish the programs opening URL links to Internet Explorer fixing your mismatch issue. Then we will load IE and browse to http://java.com and download the most recent version. After that you should be good to go again. Print this message out for reference as you go.
Okay dig in....
You should have a control panel icon when you click the start button. Click it. If it is not there we can load it manually.
Then once there click the add / remove programs icon.
Once it lists the programs installed in alphabetical order scroll down to the J's and look for any versions of Java. Click on the remove or uninstall button on the right. Continue to remove until you have no versions of Java installed.
Once all versions of Java are removed, then reboot the computer.
Once you get back up open the control panel again. This time select the internet options icon. Then click Advanced tab at the top, then at the bottom of that tab click the Reset radio button. Now click on the Programs tab at the top. Half way down you should see "Default Web Browser" and a radio button "Make Default" click
Now open your Internet explorer and goto http://java.com and download the latest version for windows. Un-check the toolbar add in maybe it is ASK.com toolbar this week, maybe its Google toolbar or some other bundled program you don't need or want.
Reboot and you should be fixed.
fatblock Dec 21st, 11, 11:59 AM Thank you all.I uninstalled and downloaded the latest java..then I installed google chrome and all is well.I can now click on links with no errors on page.
Thanks again for the assistance.:beers:
