My 86 camaro has no compression. what would cause this? would it be the cam? also, would it be easier to fix my 6cyl or replace it with a 350 4bolt. any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Probably not the cam, I had a 79 Caprice that had 5 wiped lobes and it still had good compression on all cylinders. You most likely have burned valves or broken rings on those cylinders. Did you try squirting some oil in the cylinders to see if the compression comes up afterwards. Hope this helps.

[If you have a valve stuck open in the head it will cause that ,if that is not what it is it could be something simple like :are the spark plugs tight in the head, the chamber has to be air tight to have commpression ,valves or commpression rings.
