I have a 93 Z28 with a 5.7 liter and a 6speed manual and when I bring up the rmp close to red line the motor seems to give out it also does this when it is under load? I would appreciate any info you can give me on this topic. does this vehicle come with a rpm limiter?

Sounds like the computer is cutting the fuel pressure or you could have a dirty fuel filter or a weak pump/regulator.

Not for sure but could be a Rev limiter.....

yes, its your rev limiter, keeps you from blowing up your engine. depending on if its working correctly, some say it should cut off at 5800-6000, some go all the way to 7K , but regardless its normal.
