I need help adjusting the windows and the frame of the convertible top. Michael passed away a year ago and took all that brain power with him. I have meet someone that knows a lot about my 67 Camaro but not adjusting the windows to the top. I know there has to be a thread on here telling me just how to do that. Please someone direct me to it. Thanks in advance.

Well I can only tell you what I have learned from my 67 camaro convertible, coincidentally I am a Michael also. I had to take off the door panels and there are stops that will adjust the height that are on the inner door skin. As far as front to back the way I adjusted that was to loosen one of the track bolts which allowed front to back movement. I am sure this would not be an expensive procedure for a body shop to do for you. The hardest part was removing the door panels. As far as adjusting the top there are adjustment but I never messed with them. Well good luck in the project. Mike

I am not an expert but I am doing this right now. There are a couple nuts on the inside face of the doors that loosen the window track group. This allows the whole window system to move up, down, back and forward. The same is true for the quarter window. You need to make sure your wing window frame is adjusted right in the door before you adjust the rest.
You need your top up and your weather striping on.
I started with my door glass first and got it set to the top and the weather striping. There is a couple stops inside the door that adjust the up travel, front and back. It is a trial and error type process. I then adjusted the quarter window to the top and the door glass. You do need to have the door and quarter panels off for these adjustments. Both the front and rear window groups move pretty easy once you loosen the nuts that hold them into place.
There is also an adjustment for leaning the glass in or out. It is on the same nut. You loosen the nut and use a screwdriver to turn the stud. This leans the glass in or out. There is one on the top and bottom of the quarter windows. Again you may have to do the same adjustment a few times to get it right. Make sure all your doors are adjusted before you do this.
I am sure there are more experienced people on here to add or correct this but this is how I did it.
Hope some of this helps.

If you have no experience with glass adjustment of any kind, get the Fisher Body Manual. It illustrates glass adjustment procedure. However, it is merely a guide. Window adjustments vary and as well as owner's ability. Window mechanisms and parts must be in excellent condition and lubed. If adjusted properly, you should be able to roll the passenger windows up and down from the driver's seat with ease.

thanks Mike. The door panels are already off. We were completey restoring this vechicle. I remember him telling me the windows back in and adjusted to the top frame was the next thing I needed to do. Thanks for your help.

Vickie, start from the front (wing window) and work your way back. Top up and all weatherstripping on, as previously mentioned. I spent a lot of time on mine and it is still not 100% perfect.

Getting the windows to align takes patience and many times I had to walk away and come back another day. Check to see if Michael made marks inside the door before he took out the regulators, etc,,,, for reference.
