I have a 85 V6 2.8 multiport and we can't get the wiring in the right order. We used 162534,152463,163542,142563,153642,164352,145632,1 46532,146532,143652.

Can anyone help. thanks :( DjD Jun 26th, 03, 07:43 AM Most Chev V6's I believe fire 1 6 5 4 3 2 but the 60deg V6's (I think your '85 2.8 is a 60 deg) fire 1 2 3 4 5 6. The driver side should be cyls 1, 3 & 5 and the pass side is 2, 4 & 6. Most parts stores have repair books that would have this info and a call to the local Chevy dealer would confirm the order for you. You could also remove the valve covers and watch the rockers as you turn the engine over slowly. ohcscott Jun 26th, 03, 10:19 PM isn't the firing order usually stamped on the OEM intake somewhere towards the front? raised numbers or is this just v8's Snatchin'gears Jun 27th, 03, 12:04 AM I was thinking on some emissions label.
