My 88 Camaro passenger side mirror is loose.
what would be the best way to tighten this? I'm new at this...and just bought the car and doing a little fix up.
Thanks.

IN general, some mirrors will have screws at their base outside of the car. Others are accessible through the inner door and will require removing part of or maybe the entire door panel first. A good reference is the Haynes manual you can get at Pep Boys or AUtoZone for about $12 to $14 . Removing door panels requires a little patience because they often have plastic "plugs" or "clips" that help hold them in place as well as some carefully, cleverly hidden screws . Get the manual ... it is a good reference . If you are short on change after buying the car, I have also seen the books in the public library .

On an 88 Camaro, you'll need to pull the door panel to get access to the two retaining nuts on the inner door side of the mirror.

Goodness, Frank Sinatra and the Ratpack both in the same post... who'd a thunk it. http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif I am going to go turn on my stereo now and listen to Old Blue Eyes.

Hey Thanks for all the help. It was through the door. It's already fixed.
Thanks again.
