i posted an idle problem a month or 2 ago. the carb was rebuilt by jerry macneish. i sent it back and it returned. after the the second startup it was doing the same thing only worse. i called jerry and he was baffeled. while it was idleing i took a look with a flashlight and found raw gas dumping into the carb. jerry thought it was a bad power valve so i replaced it, still the same problem. took the bowl and metering block off for the 20th time and gave them a close look and found the port hole that the acc pump pumps through had a slight gouge which caused a vac leak which sucked gas from the fuel bowl. that was one wild problem. now to find a metering block, or does anyone have a repair suggestion? george

You can get a replacement metering block, or flat sand the block you have by putting sandpaper on a flat plate or window glass and rubbing the block on it. I think there are gasket alignment pins that get in the way of sanding... It's been a while since I've had one apart.
