As I/we have been making decent progress with my 69 Rs I thought i would start a build thread. Also makes me feel less of of lurker.

Background: bought a 69 camaro RS in Prince George, BC in summer 2010. Guy was going through a divorse, needed to move fast so he sold it cheap and loaded my pickup with all his spare parts he had been collecting through the years. I stripped the car down to its bare shell and passed it along to a friend who has a rotisserie/plasma and time. I know my limitations and did not have the time/skill to do the sheetmetal properly.

specs:
1969 camaro RS, X11
champaign with red interior (rosewood wheel)
orignally a 327 column shifted auto
as bought had a 67 325hp 396 and muncie m21
looked solid and had been parked since the early 90's.... but :(

current plans include:
350 forged bottom end, 041 heads ported polished 2.05/1.60
m21 with CF dual friction
3.31 BS posi 12 bolt
275/245 on torque thrust II's
tubular control arms
c5/6 front, ls1 rear, hydroboost
not sure on colour or interior yet

Shell Repair in Prince george. My good friend is AWESOME and with the option cheap fast quality, pick two I chose quality and Cheap.

The front fenders and doors were original and in excellent condition. the sheel needed work.

List includes:
Dash, Rockers, Floors, rear quarters, minitubs (inner and outer), rear valience, trunk pan. and lots of bit and pieces to make it all fit together well.

I figure if I am going to do it, do it right the first time and never worry about it again.
