I have a 94 camaro 3.4 liter RS, 207.
Every few months a have to change the alternator. When I have it tested at the parts store it test fine. But when I put the new one in, it works and fixes it for a few months. I believe something to do with voltage regulator built in the alternator fails. However something is causing it to fail! When it fails it does not happen at an instant. It slowley fails. I was thinking that maybe it is being loaded down to much. it slowley destroys it! Any Suggestions!

Have your battery checked. If it has a dead cell it will hold some charge and may even show 12.5 volts, but will only have half your CCA rating. This will cause your Alternator to think that you battery is always low and continually try to charge the battery. A normal alternator cycles on and off as it senses your battery is fully charged.
