i have a 92 6cyl 3.1 camaro rs
i just replaced my original coil with an accel super coil. my car ran great for about three days. now after the car runs about 10min or so, when i press the gas it sputters, backfires and sometimes dies out. Now i cant get it to start.I even put the old coil back in..still nothing. ive never ran into this so i have no clue what it could be. Mabye it has nothing to do with the coil. any solutions or ideas would help me greatly. thank you

By the repair manual from Chilton, Mitchels. Next you should see if have a distributor or distibutorless ignition. If you have a dist. system than check the module. Make sure you follow what the book says to do to check any of this stuff. Also check all the wires that go to the dist. Ok if it has a DI system (distributorless ingnition) then check the crank and cam sensors for signals and also check the module for signal.

See what happens is your new coil could have burned up your module by having too little resistance in the primary windings. And its not uncommon for the crank and cam sensors to exihibt those symptoms on DI systems.

I would suggest you take it to a mechanic if you are unable to find a book or unable to do the tests. Good luck
