I have a rattling kind of noise coming from my rear tires. I thought maybe some of my brake hardware was loose in there, but there isnt. I have never had rallye wheels before and i was wondering if it was common for the beauty rings to make noise? I dont hear it at freeway speeds only slower street driving. Its more of an annoyance than anything. Thanks.

I had a corvette with ralley wheels that did that at times. One of the center caps didnt fit as tight as the others and it rattled once in a while. It stayed on the wheel, but it was loose enough that you could turn it with your hand. You might try checking them.

If you dont find anything out side of the rim you might want to remove the wheel and rim and shake it. Sometimes stuff gets inside the tire. Ive seen wrenchs, wheel wieghts, valve stems and other stuff inside of tires. They can make alot of noise if something metal is inside the tire.

If your rally cap is loose enough to rattle, expect it to fall off soon. You can bend the inside lip a little or put some tape on it to tighten it up.

They are supposed to fit really tight!

If you have aftermarket trim rings (clips all the way around) they may be the cause. I had mine off (never rattled prior) and didn't put them back on the same wheel they came off of and had one start rattling on me... Try moving them to different wheels.
