Well here it goes. We bought the car from a friend and have enjoyed it or a couple of years. BUT as we all know you must make it your own( the color on car just wasn't what we wanted), so we decided it was time to redo the car. I pulled the car apart and delivered it to my guy to do the paint and body work. The car looked to be in really decent shape, but once he got it down to the metal there was issues that could have been repaired but for me I wasn't gonna be happy with it, so we decided to replace both quarters, both front fenders, left inner fender, header panel, lower front and rear valances, door hinges, spoiler, outer wheel houses.
Here are a few picturs of car when we decided to start on it and some of where it was a few weeks ago.
We are going to go back with silver on the car. It is actually a Harley davidson color called Diamond Ice Pearl.
I have this color on my 66 Mustang and it looks awesome.

This will get us going and I will keep the thread updated as we go.

I will also be looking for advice and tips, due to this is the first camaro I have done. I have always worked on Mustangs but I also really like the Camaro and it will also make the wife happy since it is hers.

Don't ban me for this, but this is the color on my 66 that the Camaro will be getting.

Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

Started working on the motor detailing this week. It is 350 stroked to a 383 with a 350 trans. Fortunately when my buddy had the car he went through the motor and trans so that will save me some cash in the long run.

Thanks guys. I am looking forward to getting the Camaro back from the paint shop. The guy doing it for me does incredible work. I will keep thrad updated as it goes along. I've always restored Fords so I am catching alot of slack from friends but I like the Camaro as much as my Mustang.
I don'y tell them though, I blame it on the wife ( LOL ). She is excited also. She spends all her spare time handling our 3 girls so she deserves it. The 68 has always been her dream car.

Here is a picture of car since being back from paint shop. I will get a few better ones when I can. I have since removed rearend. Cleaned, painted and also put new Hotchkis 1.5 inch lowering springs in the car. Painted gas tank to match the car and did the straps in gloss black. Next will be a new RS front grille and then interior to finish off things.

Click on picture and I tihnk it will open up bigger
