Hello Fellow Camaro People,My name is Doug and I just got a 69 Camaro SS ragtop. She has manual steering and I want to put Power steering in her,but the motor is a 68 396!
What parts do I need from each/either year BB to make this conversion? Should I get the fast ratio steering box? Thanks for all replies, Doug

Welcome to the Club!!

I believe you would want the items, brackets, pulleys, hoses and box from a big block car. Fast gear box would be good.

But, for $1K USD, one could get a front steer rack and pinion steering. Wouldn't have to worry about brackets, except for the pump.
Flaming River, I think....

Just dit this on my 67. Got a fast ratio box from a nova, had a 67 pump laying around. Some hoses and brackets from one of the parts houses. Don't remember who I ordered from, may have been ricks and a rag joint from a local auto supply store. Bolted everything on and away it goes. Can be tight getting the adjuster bracket bolts in. I took the fan off to make it easier.

forgot to mention, yours will be easier because the 69 used the later style pump. They are plentiful in the junk yards. You will also need the correct pully's, crank and pump. Ricks or ground up have them also.
