Hey guys,
New camaro owner here, bought a 91 R/S with a 5.0 liter carburated 305. Car runs great and I am very pleased with it but one thing worries me, when I start the car and let it idle, I get what seems to be white smoke coming from the exhaust. I goes away when I put the car in gear and drive it. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mark

car smokes when it's idle, quits smoking when car is put in gear and driving...what could it be if not condensation?
Thanks and we will hope it's just condensation.

smoke is white, any suggestions there? I know it means water but what will help this, should I use an engine/fuel treatment to remove water? Do these even help?
Thanks,

let's see, i bet it is below ohhhhhh40deg. in your area...it is condesation . it is normal.

if it was a colent leak you would smell it in the exaust too. also if you have blended fuel, you know the stuff that is "oxeygentated" you will get this. nothing to worry about i am sure.

but since i am not there...start the car up and go back and smell the exaust, if it dose not have a that sweet coolant smell to it you are fine.

Yes, it is cold here (central IL) and thanks for the insight, I will check for the smell today and try to tell if it's coolant or not. Thanks again everyone.
