OK, i have found a tubing bender, locally, but may need to drasticlly change the design. Question is, would you guys be cool with drilling a new hole for the crossmember? I may make it a straight bar, with a couple of humps for exhuast clearence, and it may require drilling. Is that acceptable?
Or should a bend them in a U so they reuse the original holes?

Teetoe,
I would like to see it as a bolt in. Are you planning on using round or square tubing. What other things will have to be changed to install the T-56. Keep me posted. The Baer Brakes are next on my list then the transmission.

Hey teetoe...I am starting to gather parts for my swap and i wanted to know what flywheel and clutch to buy, i have a ZZ4 motor! also, who has that tail piece that relocates the shifter 2" farther forward? do i have to take the tranny all apart? or just take the old housing off and put the new one on? also, what driveshaft do i need as far as the splines go?
thanks again teetoe, cant wait to get it all together!!

If you have a ZZ4 you can go with the stock flywheel from a 96 Camaro, and could go stock clutch and pressurplate as well. I went with McLeod for the clutch. The driveshaft uses the Turbo 350 yoke, and is 46-1/2 inches on the production T56's. If you want to reuse the console in the stock location, you need to look at www.jagsthatrun.com (http://www.jagsthatrun.com) and get the tailshaft conversion that puts the speedo to mechanical, and moves the shifter up 2". you will need to disassemble the rear gears and tailshousing to swap the new one in. The "dog bone" is basicly a adaptar that bolts to the shifter stub, and then your shifter bolts to it 2" forward of the stub. It looks loke a bone on it's side. I will not be offering this, and it is up to you if you want to use the console that bad. Keep in mind that you can slide the console back too....
