My engine in my camaro seems to overheat quite often. It starts fine and then after about thirty seconds of running it screeches real loud and smoke comes out of the hood. It also smells hot like something is burning. The car currently has 150,000 miles on it and I have changed the oil once since I have had it. I have put about 20,000 miles on it. The time incriment between oil changes is 20,000 miles right? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the screech your hearing and the smell is coming from the belts. You could have a bad water pump (locking up) or other belt driven device. It doesn't really matter if you keep changing your oil after 20,000 miles, your car might not last that long! Try changing your oil every 3000 miles. It's just a tad better for it.

The 91 TPI has a serpentine belt, so I doubt the screeching is from the belt.

The screeching sound may be the bearings from lack of oil. The smoke may be from the fact that everything is fried since the oil hasn't been changed for 20,000 miles.

In 20,000 miles, the oil should have been changed at least 6 times, if not seven times.

If your post is not a joke, and you really haven't changed your oil at regular 3000 mile intervals, I would take it to a shop and have the oil cap removed, and install a new engine under it, reinstall the oil cap, then start changing oil every 3000 miles. Your car may last a bit longer that way.
