I have a 1968 Camaro with a 1972 motor. If I replace the radiator, do I get a radiator for the 68, or do I buy one for a 69 since I have the long water pump? Same for the shroud, if it is wrong, which would I buy??

Either will work for your application, but you have to get the correct fan shroud to make it fit correctly. A 20 3/4 fan shroud will "fit" on a 23 radiator but it looks kind of goofy and you have to "add" a bottom support (homemade bracket). Either way, try to get the correct fan shroud and it will look 10 times better. Let me know if you have anymore questions. 130fe davidpozzi Jun 30th, 02, 09:08 PM A 69 shroud will work best with the long water pump. There is an air cond version shroud and std version, depending on the radiator width you use. I guess I'll go for the 23" radiator with the 69 SB shroud. Thanks for your help. |
