I have an 85 camaro with a V6 2.8 engine and i am getting terrible gas mileage for that size engine. I checked this week and it was only 10.8 miles per gallon. This is mostly city driving, so if i can't get any better than i can't afford the gas of being my daily driver. What could cause this porblem, what is normal.?? Thanks for the help

When was the last time you did a tune up? How about a new oxygen sensor? The sensor should be replace about every 60,000 miles and a tune up should be done at least once a year, air filters as needed and oil every 3-4 months.

and at that age, your catalytic converter is as clogged as my uncle jim's liver! heheheheh a clogged converter can make your car Sluggish , low on power and run hot. you should add a new one to your list of "things to do "
