We have a 68 w/ a 327 engine. It was running fine until we replaced the intake gasket. In replacing it we noticed a change in the amount of holes per side. The old gasket had 4, the new five. Would this make a difference? Otherwise we have replaced the module in the distributor, bought a new battery, rest the firing order, rewired the supercoil according to excell's instructions and still no spark. Does anyone have any ideas? :confused Thanks.

The module in the Mallory Unilite distributor may be bad. If you go here http://www.mrgasket.com/malinst.htm you can find test procedure for the module in the distributor. A ballast resistor must be used with the Unilite distributor or the life of the module will suffer.

It looks like the module was bad... We're going to replace that and the resistor... and hope that its sparks. Thank you.

Make sure your voltage regulator is OK.
Any voltage surges can blow the module- again.
Mallory sells an add on protector.
