I have a rochester Quadajet 4 barrel, my secondary's dont kick in from my pedal, but when I pull the assembly in the engine compartment it does if I pull it way back. Is there a way to adjust this so my secondary's either kick in earlier or adjust my pedal so I can use them from inside the car? I have a 327 w/ 270hp, and I cant even spin the tires, want more performance out of my carb. Thanks

Mike,
The secondaries air valves on a Q-jet only open as the motor needs more air flow. On most 327's this will only happen at higher rpm and load conditions. If you are having a problem "spinning tires" opening the secondaries sooner will only make it worse. It sounds to me more like an accelerator pump or maybe even ignition timing problem if you are lacking "low end" performance. If you are not real familiar with the Q-jet, it would probably be best to ask around your area and find someone who is to take a look at it for you.
Hope this helps ,
